Research & Development
Aurora’s research and development has focused on the core sub-systems of our beta prototype printer that enable reliable and repeatable printing outcomes using high-powered lasers. Relating to our efforts to improve the productivity of the PBF process, we have developed a suite of patents, Intellectual Property and know-how.
We have significant expertise with lasers and the development of process controls in our machine firmware. We have conducted material characterisation studies, having developed printing parameters for Granges’ proprietary Dispal® alloy.
In addition to our R&D in AM system design and material characterisation, Aurora has identified multiple prospective technology innovations that are closely aligned with its goal of improving AM productivity
If your organisation has an additive manufacturing project they would like to explore further, please don’t hesitate to reach out and see how a partnership with Aurora could be beneficial.
