The Challenge
The components for pressure containing services were at risk of not arriving in time for scheduled maintenance. The customer needed to explore OEM-agnostic parts but had concerns about intellectual property.
The Solution
We developed and printed and additively manufacturable design for two ASME B16.48 Class 600 spacers, a 1,5″ Figure 8 blind and a 3″ Spacer for the Oil & Gas industry.
The Results
The components were manufactured to the API 20S standard in 8 weeks and Chevron’s additive manufacturing readiness program was accelerated by a whole year during the process.
